Know Before You Go
- By Train : The Berner Oberland Railway runs every 30 minutes from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald train station. The Grindelwald Terminal ( do not get off ) is not the final stop, please continue one stop to Grindelwald in order to travel from there to the Firstbahn. The valley station of the Firstbahn is located in the village center of Grindelwald and can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. The Firstbahn takes you to First in just 25 minutes in 6-seater gondolas via the intermediate stations Bort and Schreckfeld.
- By Car : Visitors arriving by car, we recommend using the car park Grindelwald Terminal. A shuttle drives every 15 minutes to the First Aerial Cableway. Parking slots are not available in the close area of the First Aerial Cableway. Especially for day visitors arriving by car, we recommend using the Park+Ride Matten bei Interlaken: simply park and switch to public transport
- Exchange our voucher at the cable-car station (FirstBahn) in Grindelwald to get original bar coded tickets.
- All excursions are now booked with a validity date & there is no open dated voucher option. The mountain excursion vouchers are valid for travel from the date selected until the validity of Swiss Travel pass, Eurail Pass & Full Fare ticket validity.
- The Voucher should be printed on A4 Size paper and carried along
- it should not be tampered /amended / changed due to the pre-approved format from Excursion Company. In case of any tampering of the voucher, service or tickets will not be provided to the customer by the excursion company.

- In case of bad weather conditions such as rain, fog or snow, the train will run, but the view of the glacier and the mountain range will be limited and no refund will be provided for partially used vouchers
- Please note that the tampered vouchers will not be accepted at the exchange counters of respective Excursions
- Issued vouchers are NON-REFUNDABLE within 3 days of the travel date
- Children aged 6 - 15 accompanied by at least 1 parent, travel free with the complimentary Swiss Family Card

Grindelwald is easily accessible by both train and car. From Interlaken Ost, you can take the Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) directly to Grindelwald. If you're driving, there are parking facilities available at various locations around the village and near the cable car stations. The nearest international airport is Zurich, and it takes about 2.5 hours to reach Grindelwald by car or around 3 hours by train. If you're at Grindelwald, from the Grindelwald train station, you can either take bus numbers 121, 122, or 124 to the Grindelwald-First cable car station (FirstBahn bus stop), or you can walk for 15 minutes to reach the station.

The Grindelwald ticket includes access to Grindelwald First Mountain, with return cable-car tickets to reach the summit. Visitors can enjoy the First Walk by Tissot, as well as entry to the Bort Alpine playground, which is a great option for children.
